Do you want your child to take studying a bit more seriously? Our summer workshop will give them the skills necessary to improve their studying habits and the quality of their studying. We’ll help them know how to identify topics, main ideas and important details, perform “active reading” for better comprehension, sort and organize information, take better notes, create excellent study sheets, perform summary writing, and learn test-taking strategies.

For writing workshops, we’ll instruct your child on topic sentences, basic paragraph structure, main ideas, and supporting details. Other areas of focus include expanding sentences, connecting ideas, and making transitions. We will introduce response, expository, and persuasive writing in our writing workshop.

Our math workshops include instruction on pre-algebra, algebra I and II and geometry. We’ll review basic skills such as calculations, strategies for word problems, basic arithmetic and more.

Kindergarten is a big step for your child. We’ll help your little ones with basic math, reading and writing skills. This could include instruction on anything from writing pencil grip to blending to counting. Our workshop also includes exposure to print, worksheets and education games.

This workshop includes everything in the pre-K workshop. We’ll go over more advanced math, reading and writing skills as well.
